Plan

A friend asked me today at lunch, "What do you plan on doing with your summer this year?" I thought a minute then replied, "I don't know." And, I don't. Not like in summers past when I could give a play by play description of each month, week, and practically each day. At least then there was a theme, a plan. There are no plans for this summer . . . at least none that I've come up with that is. Jer. 29:11.

Oops!

Oops! That's what I'm calling them. Those little things I seem to be doing lately in the area of confusion . . . ?? Did I say "Confusion?"

Like the last two loads of dishes washed in the dishwasher causing the kitchen floor beneath to disappear in sudsy water (key word being "sudsy"). The only thing different about the loads of dishes done lately was the use of a new "dishwasher" soap we purchased for a buck at the Dollar Store . . . a real deal. As the suds continued to mount during the latest washing, I read the instructions for use on the side of the real deal box. It was there I discovered the word "laundry -- use 1 cup of detergent per load of laundry." Oops!

Week before last I got so excited because it was the 3rd Wednesday of the month -- target date for the arrival of my very first Social Security check. Wahoo!!! While I'm not overly excited I had to turn 62 to get that check, I am excited for the arrival of funds I don't have to work for. (Okay, so I did work for it, as did my husband; but I don't have to work for it NOW!) Anyway . . . I checked for the deposit in our account, and there it was . . . Halleluia! AND the amount was twice what I was told I would get. Now that was beyond exciting! Several days later and just minutes before calling the S.S. office to report the overpayment, I realized the amount on the statement was Steve's payment. Mine arrives the 4th week of the month beginning the end of May.
